The coffee / tea sleeve is made from premium English Vegetable Tanned leather, it has been hand dyed and painted using water based products. This is a leather that has been tanned using bark and plants… this process takes longer than the more common tanning method “Chrome Tanned” but it provides the unique qualities required to decorate leather in the form of tooling and carving. This tanning method also means that the leather is bio-degradable and non-harmful to the skin.

Each sleeve is unique. The sleeve you will receive may differ slightly from the images above as each one is hand tooled to order.

The leather has been obtained as a by-product of the meat, milk and wool industries and come from farm assured cattle. The sleeve is fastened with brass plated nickle snaps.
