Easter Monday marks T Cole Crafts 2nd anniversary!

Updated: Jan 23

Nestled in a grassy field and daffodil backdrop are four reuseable coffee cups. Each with a different coffee sleeve. Starting from the left is a beige sleeve with "7 billion people on the planet and you're my favourite" embossed on the sleeve, next is a tan sleeve with a salsa couple dancing, the lady has a red dress with strictly addict embossed above. The next sleeve is a deep dark brown aged leather with a trio of horse galloping carved on the sleeve. The last sleeve is beige with a Barnaby Lion Carved in front of a Union Jack flag. Nestled around the cups are small Cadbury's easter eggs in purple and yellow foil.

If anything could make this Easter weekend better – lockdown finally beginning to lift and bringing with it the chance to meet up with friends, daffodils in full bloom, blossom coming out, spring sunshine, not to mention Easter eggs….! – Monday is the second anniversary of my business and I will be celebrating!

T Cole Crafts started with me exploring leather tooling as a craft and has blossomed into a fully fledged business. Whilst lockdown has presented problems not least because the markets where I had been showcasing my leather goods have been closed for months, it has also been a busy time for me. I have been working on a number of interesting commissions including these two travel journals and a pair of robin-themed items. I particularly enjoy working with clients to deliver the finished product they have in mind and in the case of the luggage tag, it gave me the chance to develop a new product. I have also developed some new designs for coffee sleeves.

The front cover has a tooled scene featuring Bee hive honeycomb corners viewing a Rugby ball aimed at the goal posts set in the Manchester hills. The rear features the back of a person running up a hill with his dog with the Quote: Eyes Front, Feet Forward, Heart Homewood" embossed in the black in the tooled clouds.

I’ve had wonderful support from The Prince’s Trust https://princes-trust.org.uk throughout my journey in building my business and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for everything they have done to help me.

Looking forward to Year 3 and meeting up with customers again. Things are looking hopeful. Keep well, keep safe!
